How Crittenden Arrests Work
The city runs no arrest roster of its own. No daily blotter or booking-photo feed comes out of Crittenden either. The official services page instead points people to the Grant County Sheriff's Office. Kentucky State Police Post 6 and Grant County News appear there too. That handoff sets the route. Figure out which agency acted, then go to that agency for the record.
One Crittenden arrest can leave several paper trails. The arresting agency keeps the incident report. If the Grant County Detention Center accepts the person, GCDC opens a booking record. The court clerk then holds the case file and its final result. Some arrests end with a citation and release. That result creates no county jail entry. A transfer or a hold for another agency can also happen. It can even place the person outside Grant County.
Crittenden Recent Arrest Sources
Start with official sources before touching a newspaper or private index. JailTracker lists people entered at GCDC, not every event inside Crittenden, so each channel covers a different slice.
| Channel | Answer | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Grant County JailTracker | Current or recent GCDC custody; photo display is not guaranteed | Official |
| Sheriff or KSP Post 6 | Agency routing and incident records | Official |
| Grant County court | Filed case and disposition | Official |
| Grant County News | Selected weekly reports | Newspaper |
| RecentlyBooked | County entries that may include Crittenden | Unofficial |
A roster tells you custody, a police report describes the event, and a court file shows what happened after filing. Three questions, three records, no single answer.
Find a Crittenden Booking
Work the custody path first. Then chase the event and the court record. That order keeps a news mention from being mistaken for live custody, and an empty roster from being mistaken for proof that no arrest happened.
- Search JailTracker by name and compare dates and agency details.
- If the event is new, call GCDC at (859) 824-5191 for current custody or bond information.
- Identify whether the sheriff, KSP, or another agency acted, then ask that agency for its report.
- Use the Grant County clerk for the filed case and disposition.
JailTracker can hold county detainees, state-program participants, and people held on warrants or other matters. A missing name has many explanations. Release can hide someone. So can citation, transfer, delayed entry, an alternate spelling, or a protected record. Grant County posts no fixed refresh interval. The county arrest and photo section lays out the wider source chain.
Crittenden Records Requests
The city offers no arrest-report form of its own. No set fee, no fixed response window. Ask the sheriff for a sheriff report, KSP for a state-police report, and GCDC for a booking record. The clerk handles court files. A precise request helps. Give the person's name, the incident date or a short range, and the location. Add the agency if known, plus the exact record you want.
The sheriff posts an Open Records procedure that allows delivery, mail, fax, or email. The office promises a response, or an explanation of delay, within five business days. Weekends and legal holidays are excluded.

Crittenden News Record Context
Grant County News runs recurring sheriff and detention reports. An entry may carry the arrest date, the officer, the person's age and home city. It can also list time and location, the alleged offense, and a GCDC lodging note. Crittenden can show up as a home city or a location. The paper does not claim to list every arrest.
The Grant public-notice archive supports issue-by-issue digging after a roster shifts. It is not a live custody source. A weekend arrest may surface in a later issue. An event left out may never appear there at all.
Crittenden Arrest Routing
Think of the city contact page as a doorway, not a booking list. It helps when a caller has no idea which public body took a report. The official Crittenden contact page displays the municipal details shown here.

No people or booking photographs appear on that page. It lists City Hall at 117 South Main Street, Crittenden, KY 41030, with mail at P.O. Box 207. The main number is (859) 428-2597 and the fax is (859) 428-2419.
When Crittenden Arrests Appear
Grant County has no verified intake-to-web posting interval. JailTracker contains detainee, charge, housing, incident, and image modules. Yet the static application exposes no populated result set. An arrest can be real while intake is still underway or before any public entry exists.
Call GCDC when immediate custody is the question. For an older event, ask the right agency for a date-bounded record. Retention and web display are two different things. An entry can drop off the current roster while the agency still maintains the booking file.
Note: Arrest time, booking time, and online posting time are separate, with no fixed Grant County interval.
Crittenden Booking Site Limits
RecentlyBooked, Mugshots Zone, Arrests.org, and the old Mugshots.com directory are secondary county leads. Their city labels may reflect an address, an agency, or imported county data. None is an official Crittenden source. A private update label says nothing about the JailTracker schedule.
Entries on those sites can be stale, incomplete, duplicated, or flat wrong. Confirm custody with GCDC, the event with the arresting agency, and the outcome with the court. No Busted Newspaper page for Grant County exists. Never swap in a page for some other place.
Crittenden Arrest Custody Paths
An arrest in Crittenden can lead down several paths. The word arrested does not tell you where that person sits today. Some people get a citation and go home. Others are booked at GCDC. From there, a person may be transferred, held for another jurisdiction, or moved into Kentucky Department of Corrections custody. Each route leaves a different paper trail. JailTracker works best for one narrow situation. Use it when you want to know who is currently entered at GCDC. It is not a statewide history search. The Grant County Detention Center houses adult men and women from the county, plus state inmates and program participants. So a live GCDC result does not prove the arrest happened in Crittenden or happened recently. Trust the date, agency, and charge fields shown. After release, a name drops from the current view. The booking record survives with its custodian, and a date-bounded request works better than asking an office to search every record tied to a name. The sheriff's report, KSP record, jail register, and court file can persist under different retention rules.
- Booking
- Jail intake, identification, and creation of a custody record.
- Bond
- A condition set for release while a case proceeds.
- Disposition
- The recorded court outcome of a charge or case.
- Transfer
- Movement from one facility or legal authority to another.
Private county indexes can lag behind. A copied entry may stay online after the official web display changes. Their photos and labels are not official answers. Use an index to build a date or agency lead, then return to the government custodian before drawing any conclusion about a Crittenden arrest.
